You read the papers and see all the news: generally nastiness of man toward man (I mean man in a non-gender specific way so that really should read - general nastiness of person toward person), lost dogs, economic troubles, BBC America showing 'new' episodes of Coupling (now that I have lost interest completely) a year after they aired the last set of episodes. And you think to yourself, what is really important? And I think: shoes.
Comfortable and stylish shoes. The holy grail for working women everywhere. Why, if we can put a man (and I mean that in a gender specific way so that reads just fine, as is) on the moon, can't we design a stylish, strappy, heely, sparkly, just gorgeous, shoe that is comfortable? Is it really so hard, people at NASA?
admittedly, I don't know many (only a few), but rocket scientists aren't generally known for their, uhm...fashion sense.

I wonder why not......?

*shrug*
dunno.
I'd guess it's either some left-brain, right-brain creativity thing, or a case of otherwise placed priorities (function over form).

ahmen sister! why can't "they" invent/design a stylish and comfy shoe, I mean really now

Yes, "they" are clearly the problem :)
Don't you just love shoes? But my real love are handbags, purses, carryalls.....

Madhu, you're so right about shoes. I reckon you're on to something here. I don't see why you can't apply your mind to looking into getting a totally comfortable and stylish pair of shoes designed - and on the market. If you do, I'll buy a pair :-)

oh yes, handbags, tote bags and caryalls are so much fun! I just gave a box of some purses away to Goodwill, now I am on the hunt for replacements!

Oh, good idea Sandra. I'll have to clear out some of my stuff for Goodwill...
