The tops of the trees from the windows of my new place. I can also see the buildings downtown, in the distance, gleaming glass and flashes of silver. The glass walls reflect the sky and the sun so that the buildings look a crisp white and blue with little hints of green. I can hear the traffic below, the trains and the cars, honking and hooting, sirens of a firetruck in the distance. We went, the three of us, to the Indian fast-food restaurant down the street and shared these dishes: chola batura, plain dosa and the vegetarian plate with nan. Tonight we will watch the fireworks and say a little toast.
Sounds nice...Happy 4th.

Yay! I'm glad you're safely ensconced in your new pad. Feel free to bring the 'units along for family dinner. It'll inspire us to do something vegetarian.

Erin, it was nice. The fireworks were amazing and I got to see David Lee Roth sing, or shall we say 'sing', as part of the show. Took me right back to the eighties, let me tell you...
Lisa, I'll take you up on that!
Richard, I still haven't 'fixed' your picture. Haven't got around to it yet but I promise I will. Your most recent set of pictures (works) posted are amazing!

Madhu, I thought you were moving office! Wow, moving home is a big deal. You haven't blogged nearly enough about it. Best of luck in your new space. Hope your neighbours are nice and quiet. Looking forward to reading more about it. A home is not complete without a cat. Hopefully, one day you'll home a cat - like the great one's damn fine Nicholas :-)

Ingrid, I'm afraid to tell you I am a dog person (but I like cats, too!). My new place is lovely and I will certainly blog more about it when I get more settled.
